On the 4th of July we did our usual swimming, bbq, and fireworks at my aunt's house. Ben and I bought delicious quarter pound hot dogs from Costco. They tasted so good! Sarah, Zeke, and Ty came into town for it and it was great to see them. I hadn't seen them since my visit to Colorado last August. We played cards late into the night and then I passed out in the living room. I woke up the next day and we bbq'd the rest of the food. It as a little bit different this 4th, less people, but still a good time.

My second youngest brother graduated from high school recently. I hadn't seen him since January so it was a real good time. I didn't get invited to Robert's which was a real downer, but at least I got to see both of them at this graduation. After the graduation I visited with their family and ate dinner. We ate Vietnamese food which was I didn't like very much. We watched the Dodgers lose to the Angels after dinner. My brother wanted to go out to a party with his cousin that's his age so I went home and let him do his thing. I also got to see Cindy and Matt which I hadn't seen since they were little kids. So grown up! It was good seeing them all.

vs. San Diego Padres


I sat in the all you can eat section located in right field with my friend Jose. We ate tons of food and watched the Dodger pound on the Padres.

vs. Oakland Athletics


Jose and I got two free Dodger tickets by signing up for free quotes from Mercury Insurance. They gave us $28 seats right behind home plate. It was a great spot to sit. I got to see Matt Holliday play for the first time and he was great. Nomar Garciaparra came up for the A's. He played for the Dodgers last year and is a local boy. For some reason though the fans booed him as if he had asked to be traded or something. Jose and I clapped and cheered for him like any real fan would have done.

I finally was able to see the Lakers win a championship. I wasn't a fan of the NBA back when they won three in a row. It was amazing to see Kobe Bryant get the Finals MVP award. Everyone played so well and I sure hope we get Odom and Ariza back, they mean too much to our team! Celtics who? LeBron who? King Bryant!

Side note: To the fans that rioted, looted, and cause other types of disturbances.. you are all childish and pathetic.
